Date Night Style for MidLife
Every Friday night, Mr. Menace and I have a standing date night. He doesn’t really care for the idea of such routine dates because he feels like he is being forced to do something and he balks strongly at being made to do something, rather than doing it because he wants to. However, when I explained to him that I have cooked every single night during the week after working all day and that I was ready for a night out where not only was someone else cooking, but someone else was cleaning up also, he then realized that I needed a break and so he takes me out to eat on Friday. We don’t usually do anything else, so it’s not really much of a date, but once in a while we will add a movie or a dance night and he picks those nights, so he still feels in control of dates.

Anyway, I miss the nights when we were actually dating and I’d take so much care over my appearance and so would he and the anticipation of seeing each other again after a week (or two!) was great, so now, I really enjoy fixing up a bit even if we are just going to eat.
It’s still usually pretty casual, but amped up with higher heels, bigger hair, sparklier makeup, and fancier jeans.
So many of my clothes now are from Stitch Fix. At least one piece and usually two in each of these outfits are.
I enjoy fashion and staying up on trends. And I love not spending my weekends at the mall, when I’d rather be outside in my garden.
I love the service. I love the surprise of opening the box. I love seeing what my stylist has chosen. I love trying it all on. And most of all, I love coming up with different ways to style the pieces.
If you’d like to know more about Stitch Fix, I wrote more details HERE. And if you have any questions, please ask me.
