So even though I was able to get my front porch decorated for fall quite easily this year, (click here if you missed it), I am a bit slow getting anything done inside. However, when I saw Kathy’s, at A Delightsome Life, fall decor I felt inspired and motivated for fall decorating of my own!
Kathy’s style appeals to me. It is subtle and yet eye catching. I love the pillow on the white chair and the side table with the bee.
She has a lot of neutrals and yet enough color that it isn’t boring. Those blue floral pillows behind the distressed basket makes a lovely vignette.
And the lavender with the white pumpkins is just adorable together in this basket.
So after my virtual tour of Kathy’s fall home, I decided to do some fall decorating of my own. I wanted to try to get by with what I already have and not spend any extra money right now. We have a trip planned for next week and I want to say ALL my money for some really good eats up in New England!
I did buy these gorgeous blue pumpkins from Big Lots. They also had a wreath and a few other things I’d love to have, but I resisted.
I replaced all my burgandy hydrangeas with the blue ones that I had found at Dollar General when I bought my front porch flowers. They look really good with my existing green ones. The mercury glass pumpkins are from last year.
I used the same wreath as last year, however, I would like to add some blue to it when I find something that will work.
Again, I bought these flowers when I purchased the blue flowers for my porch. They look a bit purple in this picture, but in reality they are more blue.
These are more of the same flowers as the picture above. I have them scattered all around my living room.
Adding a few darker blue hydrangeas to this bucket bouquet of pink and blue help to make it a bit more fall-ish.
Using what I have, I am pleased with the update in seasons in my living room. Maybe I’ll find some sales and can add a bit more at a later date.
Thanks Kathy for the inspiration!
