When we bought our house a little over six years ago, there were a ton of cabinets in the kitchen.
So many in fact, that with the wood floor, the tan back splash, and the tan counter top, the whole room was WAY too brown.
I needed to add color.

I had seen the below picture on Pinterest and been saving it for years, not knowing when or how I might use it, but knowing that I wanted to.
Now with my new furniture in the kitchen I had the perfect opportunity to use my inspiration picture.

I wish I had enough bowls to put nothing but bowls on the shelf, but I don’t. So I put my glasses on the top shelf, which works out beautifully when the morning sun streams in that window and makes them sparkle.
Grouping by color is the secret. Using each shelf for one color makes a statement that is really appealing and eye catching.
I smile every time I look at my color themed styled shelves.
Color makes me happy.
