I unexpectedly made myself a new Christmas Wreath today and best of all, it will work all year! I ran over to Walmart to get a couple of strands of lights and of course I had to look through all the Christmas decor and while I was digging through the boxes of ornaments, I came across these:
Oh so cute bees!
I had to have them in honor of our Honey Bees.
*Thanks to Grammy Dee for featuring this post over on her blog GRAMMY’S GRID.*
When I got home I asked Mr. Menace if he had an old bee hive frame that I could have.
All I had to do was clip the tags off the ornaments and clip the bees onto the frame. They already had tiny alligator clips on each ornament.
And just like that, I have a new wreath of sorts.

I am so happy with my new “wreath.” It couldn’t have been more simple to do AND nobody else has one like it.
Now I realize that everyone does not have an old bee hive frame with wax on it to make a wreath like this, But the idea is to think a little differently about ordinary objects. Ornaments don’t have to be hung on a tree. A wreath doesn’t have to be round and green. Sometimes I am guilty of not buying something because I don’t know what I would do with it, but in those cases, I usually end up with non-buyers remorse, because an idea will come to me later.
Don’t always follow the crowd. Look at things in a different light and be an original.
I love an easy quick craft! Have you made any Christmas crafts yet?
